Another year, and Fox Sports Rocky Mountain has released their batch of commercials for the year. They always seem to release good commercials for the Rockies. In case you want to see them, they are here: To the Rockies commercials. Be aware that there are 6 of them. Now, for the reviews.
Spoilers here
Ready?
Ok, there are 6 of them. I like them all. But if I had to rate them starting with the best, here they are:
- Junior and Senior. I have always liked Eric Young. The father was once part of the Rockies during the Blake Street Bomber era. His son made his debut last year midseason. EY Jr. has his own twitter account, appropriately enough @EYJr. He had already given hints about being in a commercial, and I had similar thoughts about it. Still funny.
- Show and Tell. Now, you have to admit that I envy the kid. Also, I liked Ian Stewart at the end.
- Lost in Translation. I’m partial towards Chris Iannetta. Normally, I frown on Spanish. But I can relate to Chris, making the same mistakes myself. The last half is funny. It may be a foretelling of his future…
- Twitter. It hits home, as I’m always on Twitter.
- Manager of the Year. I got a kick out of the ending. The Portable Tracy.
- Translation, Please. Todd Helton is in it. He’s always cool. Enough said.
You should check them out. And if you want older commercials, feel free to find them on the Rockies home site, or YouTube. FSRM has done a great job, and won awards in the past for best commercials for a sports team.
So, which one is your favorite from this year?
